The tradition
A cup of coffee that changed the world
In the old neighborhoods of Naples, anyone having a good day would pay for two coffees — one for themselves, and one left "suspended" for a stranger who couldn't afford it.
Food Sospeso brings this tradition to New York. Instead of coffee, you prepay a real meal at this restaurant. A verified nonprofit partner picks it up and serves it to someone facing food insecurity — with warmth and dignity.
How it works
Three steps. One minute. A real difference.
1
Choose a meal
Pick a dish from the sospeso menu — real food from this restaurant's kitchen
2
Pay securely
Prepay the meal online. Your money goes to food, not overhead
3
It's served
A vetted nonprofit picks it up and delivers it to someone in need
The restaurant is paid only after delivery is confirmed.
You sponsor food, not money — full transparency.

Savoria brings authentic Italian flavors to the heart of Harlem. Chef Marco and his team craft seasonal dishes from locally sourced ingredients — and believe that great food is meant to be shared.
"When I learned about Food Sospeso, it felt like coming home. In my family, no one ever ate alone. Now our kitchen can feed someone who really needs it — and that's the best thing a restaurant can do."
